Our Responsibilities:

Motorcycling is dangerous, Going Touring can not be help responsible for any loss incurred while riding any of the suggested routes found on this web site, forum and blog.

Your Responsibilities:

Your personal safety is your responsibility, while out riding the following factors can have an effect on, your ride;

  • You should be a competent rider with a road legal, mechanically sound, motorcycle that is capable of completing the tour you have embarked upon.
  • You must hold a valid Certificate of Insurance covering the motorcycle, and the rider (and the pillion where applicable), for the period of travel.
  • You should have the ability to get yourself and your motorcycle back home (repatriated) in the event of a mechanical breakdown or an accident.

Travelling Overseas:

If you are travelling overseas it is also your responsibility to have the following.

  • A Valid UK Passport, or appropriate Visa if you do not hold a UK Passport.
  • Basic Medical Insurance with the form E111 (available from the Post Office).
  • European Motorcycle Insurance Cover which must include repatriation to the UK in the event of a mechanical breakdown or accident.
  • Personal Travel Insurance for you (and your pillion), which must include medical cover and repatriation to the UK in the event of a serious illness or accident.
